Job Advert Summary
The role is to operate the three-stage Limestone Crusher efficiently, cost-effectively and safely to meet the stockpile requirements within specifications and timeously. The incumbent will also supervise the Operator Support's activities, including Plant Housekeeping.

Prepare adequate action plans to ascertaintherealisation of shift targets both quality and production rates per hour.
Compile shift logs, accurately and comprehensively liaise with, and issue instructions to, operator support and conduct housekeeping as required.
Gather relevant production data, prepare for, and provide input into start of shift production meetings and conduct Short Interval Control with The Shift Supervisor.
Conduct preliminary diagnostic during process upsets. Implement instructions during efficiency and productivity improvement initiatives. Liaise with the Shift Supervisor to resolve mechanical, electrical and operational issues and raise urgent/non-urgent work-order requests.
Conduct pre-start checks on equipment. Conduct ongoing and systematic first-line equipment surveillance and condition monitoring.
Issue work instructions to Operator support and direct load and haul operators as per the material movements plan.
Conduct end-of-shift assessment of raw material and work-in-progress material.
Adhere to the material movement plan and timely escalate quality issues or potential issues that may affect product quality.
Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures and standards. Assist with investigations of incidents & accidents and implement required corrective action. Escalate Non-conformances to the Shift Supervisor.


Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements
A Mining Diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 3 years Plant operating experience (crushers, conveyors and staking system)
Class four (4) Driver’s licence
A Blasting licence would be added advantage.
Working knowledge of a safety management system.
Industrial Control Software like a SCADA.
